  Banteay Srei - Siem Reap


A one - time Buddhist monastic complex was built in the second half of the 12th century during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. Though the temple is in dilapidated condition, some good carvings of Angkor Wat and Bayon art styles are worth witnessing. Surrounded by four concentric walls, where their entrances are decorated with garuda that placed at the corners of each gopura (entrance to a temple), this is believed to have been a favourite design of King Jayavarman VII. Strolling around Banteay Kdei, one is often reminded of Ta Prohm architectural style.
  Angkor Wat - Siem Reap


 
Angkor Wat is the largest monument in Cambodia and is a dedicattion to Hinduism. With its perfect composition, balance, proportions, reliefs, and sculpture of Khmer art, the site is placed in the front line as one of the most intact architectural masterpieces in the world. Historical evidence suggests that Angkor Wat is a replica of the universe in stone and represents a model of the cosmic world.
  Angkor Thom - Siem Reap



Angkor Thom was build by Angkor’s greatest king Jayaraman VII (ruled1181-1219). It is enclosed by a square wall 8m high and 12km in length and encircled by a moat 100m wide. The city has five monumental gates, one each in the north, west and south walls and two in the east wall. The gates, which are 20m in height, are decorated to either side of the passageway with stone elephant trunks and crowned by four gargantuan faces of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara facing the cardinal directions.
  Tonle Sap - Siem Reap


Tonle Sap also known as the Great lake of Cambodia for a visit to the whole bunch of community on floating houses and boats such as school, market, police station, children playing and swimming  and fresh water aquariums with different fish species displayed it would be great a place to learn this unique and exotic village.

Tonle Sap is the largest lake in Southeast Asia. The Lake is linked to Mekong at Phnom Penh by a 100km-long channel.
From mid-May to early October (the wet season ) the level of the Mekong rises, backing up the Tonle Sap river and causing it to flow north west into the Tonle Sap lake, during this period, the lake swells from 2,500sq km to 13,000 sq km or more, its maximum depth increasing form about 2.2m to more than 10m.  around the  start of October, as the water level of Mekong begin to fall, the Tonle Sap river reverses its flow, draining the water of the Lake back in to Mekong.

  Kulen National Park -Siem Reap


About 50Km north east of Siem Reap, is a holy mountain that is the mythical birth place of Cambodia.  Phnom Kulen is where sand stones were quarried for the building of the monuments of Angkor, the stone floated down the Siam Reap river on rafts.

The most astonishing feature of Phnom Kulen is the river of thousand Lingas.  This sacred river is named after the series of Lingas carved into riverbed rock Lying about 15cm below crystal-clear water.
The Lingas are arranged in a perfect grid pattern.  Between the Lingas are some well preserved statues of Apsara and Vishnus carved in underwater sandstone.  It also houses a 900 year old reclining Buddha sand stone,the Largest in Cambodia.
 
   Royal Palace - Phnom Penh


The Royal Palace was built in 1866 under the reign of King Norodom and is located along the Sothearos Boulevard. Inside the Royal Palace, there are:
  • Tevia Vinichhay Temple: The place where the King is on throne.
  • Khemarin Temple: The place where the King and Queen live.
  • Somran Phirum Temple: The place where the King rides the Royal Elephant.
  • Hor aku or Hor Preah Khan: The place keeping the throne objects and accessories.
  • Chan Chhaya: The Royal dance hall for king and relatives and high-ranking officers. In front of the Royal dance hall, there is a platform for the King to hold the meeting with people and all levels of officials.
   Silver Pagoda - Phnom Penh

 

Also called the Pagoda of the Emerald Buddha, it is located in the compound of the Royal Palace. Inside its floor is constructed of 5000 silver tiles. In the center of the pagoda there is a magnificent 17th-century emerald Buddha statue made of baccarat crystal. The walls enclosing the pagoda are covered with frescoes depicting episodes from the Khmer version of the Ramayana

   Sokha Beach - Sihanoukville


 
Sokha Beach is located just west of Serendipity Beach . This beach is privately owned by Sokha Beach Hotel, the first five-star luxury beach hotel in Cambodia. It provides many facilities with a wide white sandy beach, but hotel guards may prevent visitors who are not guests from going on to the beach.
