| Shwedagon Pagoda - Yangon |

Towering almost 100 metres above the green cityscape of Yangon, the Shwedagon Pagoda is the landmark visible from miles around. One of the wonders of the world, it was believed to have been built over 2500 years ago where the four Buddhas' relics were enshrined. Successive kings had embellished the Pagoda during the 15th century and Queen Shin Saw Pu raised it to its present height. |

King Bodawpaya built this Pagoda in 1784 to house the Mahamuni Buddha Image brought from Rakhine State. Being the most revered Pagoda in Mandalay, the early morning ritual of washing the face of the Buddha's image draws a daily crowd of devotees. |

Ngwe Saung is also on the western coast of Myanmar on the Bay of Bengal, nearly directly west of Yangon and a bit south of Ngapali. It has become popular with tourists in just the last two or three years and the quality of the beach, sand and water is comparable to Ngapali Beach. |

Naples of the east as it is known, is situated on the Rakhine coast. Ngapali is one of the most beautiful beaches in Myanmar. The beach stretch over 3 kilometres with blue sea, white sand and swaying palm trees. It is half an hour flight from Yangon. By car the journey takes, 14 hours driving via Pyay. There is an 18-hole golf course and a variety of hotels from first class Bay View Hotel and Sandoway Beach Resort to standard Ngapali Beach and Silver Beach.
